HimalayanSalt Himalayan salt is easy to recognize. It has a beautiful pinkish hue due to the pink-colored algae that live in the waters where they are harvested. It is known to detoxify and clean the skin, leaving it softer, smoother, and cleaner than before. Many people use it in what is called “brine baths”, which simply means to add the salt to your bathwater.

Himalayan salts are know to aid in the treatment of certain skin conditions, including acne, psoriasis, and dry skin. They are also used to treat insect bites, as well as heal blisters. Those who suffer from premenstrual cramps, like me, might benefit from taking a Himalayan “brine bath”.

How do you think this amazing salt can benefit you?

My daughter has to consume a lot of salt because of a medical condition. She loves the pink Himalayan.

I’d love to just have this in a bowl somewhere. These are so pretty. I didn’t realize there were these benefits to salt.

Becca, you can order it through on Amazon. You can even find it at places like Target or Trader Joe’s.

I have heard of things such as salt scrubs before. I never thought about using a different and more beneficial salt when making one!

Himalayan salt is so pretty, but I have heard it has a lot of great benefits. I’ve never used a salt scrub before, but I have used sugar scrubs and loved them. Going to have to give that a try.

I do have some of this salt and it’s so pretty, I hate to use it! I just like having it in my kitchen in a pretty jar. 🙂 (But when I do use it, I love it.)

I don’t know much about the salts themselves, but I just ordered my first Himalayan salt lamp this morning. Mine is roundish and purple.
